Marlborough Mop Fair
Once a year, every year in October a fun fair takes over Marlborough High Street for most of Friday and all of Saturday. The fairs are held on the closest Saturdays to St Michaelmas Day, which falls on October 11. If however St Michaelmas Day is a Saturday, the fairs are held two weeks apart. The fair, which is known as the ‘Marlborough Mop Fair’, is allowed to use the town centre thanks to an 800-year-old statute which can only be reprieved by an Act of Parliament.

And when you get in touch with the organisers of these events, please mention that you found them through www.marlboroughwiltshire.co.uk. Thank you.

Welcome to Marlborough!
